Megan is an expert in contemporary Asian art with over 20 years of experience working between Beijing, Hong Kong, and New York.
Prior to establishing ChART Contemporary, she worked as the China Researcher for the Asia Art Archive, a consultant for Sotheby's in Hong Kong and New York, and a Sales Director for SOHO China’s avant-garde project Commune by the Great Wall.
An accomplished curator and art consultant, Ms. Connolly has worked with the best art fairs, institutions, corporations, and private collections, including The Armory Show, LACMA, the MET, MoMA, s[edition], the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, the Walker Art Center, the Aspen Art Musuem, and Natalia Vodianova’s foundation, Naked Heart. In addition, for the past 5 years, ChART has collaborated with Audemars Piguet at Art Basel shows worldwide providing unique curated experiences for their exclusive clientele.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Connolly is fluent in Mandarin, holds a degree in East Asian Studies from Smith College with a concentration in Contemporary Art from China and received a certificate in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
Sam brings over 15 years of global sourcing, business development, and business operations experience to his current role as Managing Director of ChART Contemporary Consulting.
Beginning with successful tenures in Business Development and Investor Relations with Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. 中芯國際集成電路制造有限公司 (SMIC) in Shanghai, China from start-up to IPO, Sam continued as a private global sourcing consultant until joining EV Tech in 2008. EV Tech Inc. specialized in advanced electric motor technologies with a focus on renewable and sustainable applications in the commercial and retail markets. Sam is also a founder of Brady-Liu Technologies LLC, an IT consulting firm specializing in Virtual Cloud systems and application development as well as hardware development and sourcing.
Almost a native Texan, Sam was born in Taipei, Taiwan but grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin.
Cassandre Connolly, a native New Yorker, moved to Jackson, Mississippi in 2015 with Teach for America. For the past three years she has been the art teacher at Siwell Middle School and was awarded Teacher of the Year 2016-2017. Ms. Connolly believes creativity builds confidence and she encourages her scholars to make an impact within their communities and beyond. Ms. Connolly has been awarded two Donors Choose grants and in 2016, she joined the Mississippi Museum of Art teaching art classes during the summers. Since moving to Jackson, Cassandre has been featured in the Jackson Free Press, WLBT, and was interviewed on Now You’re Talking by Marshall Ramsey for MPB.
Prior to moving to Mississippi, Ms. Connolly was based in Beijing, China for a decade. During that time, she co-founded ChART Contemporary, a curatorial lab with the goal of bringing together art & people. Spearheading the education programs, Ms. Connolly successfully received funding from the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and was featured in numerous
prestigious publications. During her decade in China, Ms. Connolly also acted as the head of the art department at an international middle/ high school for 5 years.
Jiani joined ChART Contemporary Consulting in 2017. Her role involves cultivating new clients, managing projects, and collaborating with other consultants for business development and strategy.
Prior to joining ChART Contemporary, Jiani worked as a Chief Representative for the Red Fashion Group coordinating M&A projects. Prior to Red Fashion Group, Jiani worked for Harper’s Bazaar Men’s Magazine as a stylist. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Pratt Institute and is currently in her second semester for a Masters of Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York.
A graduate of the Parsons School of Design with a Masters in Design and Curatorial Studies, Andrea is an invaluable resource at ChART Contemporary Consulting.
Prior to joining ChART, Andrea worked as a Gallery Assistant at Christie's Auction House in New York, and as an intern with the Gagosian Gallery in Hong Kong, ABXY Atelier in New York, and the National Jewelry Institute in New York.
Ms. Ng received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.
