DAL (b. 1984) is an emerging artist from Wuhan and a founding member of Chirp--one of the earliest artist collectives in China to combine public art with graffiti. Since 2008, this young artist has expanded his practice combining painting with sound and video installation. He relocated to Beijing in 2009 to pursue his career as an artist.
His work has been shown in Wuhan, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Dubai, and Hong Kong. ChART Contemporary invited DAL to participate in the Open House series when he moved to Beijing in June.
ChART produced Open House: Royal Pond - a new installation created by DAL on June 21, 2009.
